We are members in Thousand Trails and for us it is a REALLY good value. In fact we just upgraded to their new Elite Basic from our Platinum membership last week. We upgraded to get access to 29 more parks, mostly Southeast/East, since we plan on heading away from the West Coast in 2012.
We are full-timers and use the TT system extensively. We retired July 1, 2011 and have stayed at TT over 100 nights since then. Our membership allows stays of 21 days and the ability to move immediately to another TT park. Our dues are frozen at under $400.00. We plan on spending 300+ nights at TT in 2012. We will easily pay for our
whole out-of-pocket costs by the end of 2012.
The zone pass is a cost effective opportunity to use TT parks. I believe there is a buy-one-get-one offer until 12/31.
If these parks will fit your plans and you will use them you should seriously consider TT as a money saving plan. If you won't use TT don't waste your money.
We are currently at TT Seaside, OR. Excellant place to be
