If they rattle around, you obviously don't have enough stuff in there . Fill it up.

Appreciate all the replys. I don't get too stressed about anything anymore but I really hate things that rattle or ding around while I'm driving.
May try the different ideas (which is what I was hoping for) this next week when we head to Branson.
Thanks all,
Jim & Carol

In the areas where grocery stores or
Wally World sells shelf liners, you will
find a soft, open weave looking soft
rubber nonslip liner.

We use this on the shelves and cut small squares to go between cups, plates, etc.
It's nonslip surface helps stop movement
and the soft face protects the items.

It even kept movers from damaging glass on our last move!

Everything is Correll or plastic, and on the non-skid stuff. Easy-peasy.

Being that I'm not willing to give up my ceramic coffee mugs, I first line the cabinets with the anti slip shelf liner and use a staple gun to tack it down from one end to the other, line up the cups on the braking end of the cabinet and cut foam diner plates in half to use as a separation between them and the next items and into quarters if needed to go between cups. I also use the long single wide flatware containers for type of dish or bowl separation.

We use the weaved pad and just put the cups on them. Then turn on the Sat radio and drive down the highways. I haven't heard the dishes, cups, pots or pans rattle. Should I turn down the radio? We don't carry the finest china in the RV so a few chips around the edges are OK.

Do what the stores do Put each cup in a shopping bag, Or make bubble wrap sleeves.

I just bought a new coffee cup. It's the only one in the upper cabinet, the others get stored as above (Each in its own bag)

We carry stoneware dinnerware, glass glassware and ceramic coffee cups that are primarily souvenirs from the places we have visited in our travels. We aren't really into "roughing it". We used to keep the glasses in six pack holders from the beer we consumed in our travels and the coffee cups in a china keeper designed to hold them. This worked great, not a single break or chip, but the DW got tired of packing and unpacking them every time we stopped. This past off-season, we built a "prototype" custom glassware holder for our cabinet shelf. It is basically 2" oak trim board and 1" weather stripping. Each trim board is secured to the shelf with aluminum U-channel. These were spaced to exactly fit our glasses and coffee cups. To keep them from falling forward off the shelf, we used a wooden dowel going across the front. The dowel is easily removed and repositioned as needed and it is the only thing we need to touch to have our cups and glassware available for use. It has worked so well, we plan to rebuild it this off-season at cabinet quality so it looks more professional.

Sure would like to see a picture of that.

Same here.
