Some states issue

( Historical vehicle )

Plates.

But some states have specific requirements also.
Like
Limited miles driven.

Each state can be different.

We pay registration fee for two years then no fee after that. I was told the only interruption is your not allowed too use it in January unless you pay $1.00 one dollar. Per day driven and can only be driven up too five days in January so hypothetically camp for a week or so then move to another place or state within a 24 hour period. So that's what I know so far. Anyone else have any Information please add your 2cents

Collector (i.e. historic) plates are only allowed on vehicles over 25 years old in Ohio & only for limited use (shows, parades...etc). Plus you can't get those plates unless you can prove your vehicle is in that age range. So, to answer your question: No.

My motorcycles have antique plates. In Texas you can only use these vehicle’s for things such as shows, parades and club functions and the like. Antique plates are good for 5 years and are not required to have annual inspection. That said I have never been stopped to ask where I was going. We also have classic plates without the restrictions on use. As best I know this applies to cars and trucks with the same restrictions.

Right decision.

Okay the previous owner had them on it so I did the same. I guess I made a good choice. Based on Wisconsin laws .

Rather than polling the audience, I think a more prudent choice would be phoning a friend at your DMV. How each state deals with them is probably a little different.
