Considering a 2004 Allegro Bus 38tgp

I have found a 2004 Allegro Bus that has been garage kept and owned by an elderly couple. Has approx. 30,000 miles, new aqua hot, one year old tires, stored inside garage. Could purchase for about $70,000. Are there anythings to consider with this make/model year? Also, since it has been stored are there anythings to look out for? This would be my first DP. The price seems to be below the NADA low retail. Could this deal be too good to be true?

Glad you're aboard. May be worth having a RVIA certified tech check it over the house systems and a qualified diesel tech to check the chassis. It could cost a few bucks but you will have a better idea then if it's a great deal or something from which you should walk away. Best of luck in your decision. Enjoy your adventures and be safe.

It sounds like a great deal. Follow Ken's advice and have someone check over that is very familiar with a DP engine, chassis and RV systems. Even if you have to replace a few items, you still maybe way head. The engine has hardly been broken in with only 3,000 miles per year, estimate. Best of luck and keep us posted on what you find out.

Our 1st mh was a 2004 Allegro, gasser not a Bus. It was a great one for us and the only problem we had was a leaking skylight. Ours sat outside for the 6 years we had it. You should have no problems. The Bus is a really nice coach! I think you found a gem for that money. Biggest thing is to operate everything like generator, slides, ac's, tv's, jacks etc and check on the batteries too. 2004 was a solid year for Tiffin but things do age over time if garaged but not used. Sounds like a good deal to me.
