Converter Issues

2005 Sea Breeze by National 8321 LX

Xantrex Freedom 458 Series

I can’t figure out if I have a 1000 or 2000.
Everything reads normal on the unit.
I can’t find the rocker switch “located adjacent to the entry door.”
Everything seems to be operating correctly… I feel I am missing something simple.
I’d like to get the microwave and coffeemaker to work off the inverter (if it is supposed to).

What is the model number is on the inverter? A converter only uses 120 vac to produce 13.-14.8 vdc.

Inverter Charger | Freedom 458 Inverter/Charger | Xantrex

The link is to the product page at Xantrx.. The rocker switch "By the door" if any such exists would be a remote turn off.. Not sure these models support that (I know my Prosine does) but if you wish you can read the product owner's manual.

On most RV's the rocker switch near the door is what we usually call a Salesman Switch, has absolutly NOTHING to do with the Freedom 458, it controls the battery disconnect,, and it will not disconnect the battery from the inverter, that is a separate switch (on the inverter itself).
Home is where I park it!

On my 2006 8341 the inverter switch is on the main panel at the bottom, below the slide controls. Very few outlets are serviced by the inverter, try several to find active outlets.
