CoPilot Live 8 not updating

When trying to update I get "this action could not be completed". I submitted a support ticket June 27 and last post was the developers were aware of the issue and still working on it. Anyone else experience this? Txs

I may do this after my trip. I've got so many POI's I've made and trips that I don't want to screw them up even if I move them. Maybe ALK will come up with a solution however think their focus is on cell phone ap's.

Don't have my computer handy to look, but I think you should be able to copy your folders containing what you want to keep and restore it afterward.

Just got in from trip and uninstalled program. I reinstalled and got error message I need to get fresh copy! I'm glad I did not attempt this prior to leaving on trip. I don't see how to download from ALK so I've submitted support ticket. I'm sure this will take a while to get response.

Contacted them via phone and they sent email with link. After 3 hour download installed program and updates worked. I had to download NA maps another 3 hours to get rid of 2 pop ups for USA and Canada POI Info Premium. I explained my previous support ticket was market resolved and he explained this was done to clear the "desk" of tickets that customers don't report resolved?? even though I had indicated it was not. Their responses contain a line that if problem not corrected within 21 days resubmit. Problem is fixed but odd support system.

Are you guys using the "Personal" or "Truck Specific" versions, and what do you think of either? Thanks

Using the Personal Version and it does a very good job. The big plus is the my wife can follow it much better than Streets and Trips. I do use Streets and Trips, Trailer Life for planning as well. The cell phone version is very cheap vs the laptop. I'm sure I'm still in a learning curve but this is a very nice navigation program with voice alerts as well.
