Cost of living in an RV
I have roughly figured that it will cost $1.00 per mile for fuel. Is that about right?

I got about 7 miles per gallon on my gas MH which equates to $.50 a mile.

In addition to miles per gallon that others have mentioned, they did not mention, oil changes, maintenance and tires. So I would think $1.00 per mile is realistic, just not at the pumps.

I would think this number would be higher during the summer months when fuel prices are higher. Another cost to figure in is insurance. Thinking about it, I don't think a buck will be enough

The OP's question was "for fuel."

Wow!!! a buck a mile for gasoline? Gas must be really expensive where you traveled.
Could there be something drastically wrong with the V-10? At a cost of $4 dollars per
gallon, that would only be about 4 mpg.

I always budget $.50 per mile for my Winnebago Adventurer traveling at about 60 mph.

If I want to go in my MH cost is not a issue, I either pay it or I stay at home. $3.55 per gal for MH. I paid $4.65 a gal for gas to drive my convertible around. Choices
