I don't like the high fees, but don't want my MH out in the sun, heat, snow, hail, etc....so I pay it. Try looking for a boat storage facility, I found one where a long time boat dealer is starting an RV storage business on his boat lot.

As a commercial property owner, I know my taxes and insurance have increased dramatically over the last 5 years. There are two choices.... you can move or purchase a propery that you can store your RV, but the taxes and insurance won't be any cheaper.

If the shower is the worst, might be there is rotting hair in the shower drain. Pull the cover off of the shower drain and clean the P trap. I use a set of tool grabbers. To clean the gray tank, I pour a 1/2 bottle of Pinesol to 3/4 of a tank of fresh water and drive to my destination for that day. If you have a washing machine make sure the P trap in the washer drain is not dry.

When I started looking for storage for my pop-up, found it was cheaper to buy a lot in a deeded campground. The annual dues are about the same and the memories are priceless. Also is gated with 24/7 security.

Full Monte - There is a Thousand Trails fairly near you in Morgan Hill. They usually rent storage space at a reasonable price. I have stored mine at a TT near San Diego for two years. No problems and I pay 65 a month.

Well I guess prices are pretty reasonable here in Oklahoma. I only pay $25.00 a month for an outside parking spot with 24hr access and great security! I've been looking for an enclosed unit and for $170.00 I can get a 14' X 50' with electric. they also have a dump station and wash area. I like the idea of a Lot, but I really want it out of the weather.

We pay $140 per month for a locked 40' shed with power inside a gated facility. It's only 5 - 10 minutes from the house, so the convenience can't be beat.

Two thoughts: ONE: as more and more folks store RV's the demand for storage increases, this may also increase the price.

Second as more and more folks realize the "hold harmless" they make you sign in case anyting happens to your rig may be challanged if the facility provides anything resembling security (Even if it's just a locked gate) the cost of operation goes up.

Finally: A line from a song My Mamma Told Me,,, to do the SHOP AROUND.

WOW that's a huge increase. Ours here in MI has been the same for 3 years now. We pay $35/month. The facility is gated and secure. We park on a crushed gravel which almost seems like it's paved. Not a problem there so far and hope there never is.

This is on the mark for FL. Lots of RVs looking for storage. Outside storage rates are $4-$5 per foot.
