I get on and use the "New Post" link.

Scroll though and read things that interest me.

Go to the next page number. Get the " Sorry, we are currently performing scheduled maintenance. We should be back online shortly." notification screen and hit the page back button. Hit the next page number (again). Get the "Sorry, we are currently performing scheduled maintenance. We should be back online shortly." notification screen (again) and hit the page back button(again). Hit the next page number again. Scroll through and read things that interest me until I get to the line that says "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts."

I don't get the "Sorry, we are currently performing scheduled maintenance. We should be back online shortly." every single day but often enough that I get a chuckle out of it. Generally within a minute or two I can get to the next page. I always wonder what scheduled maintenance lasts a minute or two.

But the minor inconvenience is worth the wealth of help, sarcasm & humor we get from IRV2.

1) I check subscribed threads, iRV2 bookmark takes me to my subscribed threads page.
2) Go to New Posts, read those that interest me, put those of no interest on the ignore list. Using the ignore thread feature keeps the New Post list down to 3 pages or so.
3) Check Private messages

I am not on everyday, so I use the new posts link. But that can even be an overwhelming experience if you haven't used the "ignore forum" option on most of the forums that don't apply to me.
