Any one else want to put in some input on their local Gas prices?

I just made a trip up to West Virginia and back over the weekend, got home today. Gas was $2.199 in the Huntington area; found some for $2.059 at a Pilot on the way home in Gate City, VA.

Where will it stop?

My truck hasn't been out of the garage in over a month, been driving the Honda. With these prices I will limit my driving as much as possible. It's not the fuel prices, its everything else that you have to buy that goes along with it. Just think, your entire living expense including your utilities is going up just like your fuel costs. Thats where the costs is biting you. Not just the fuel!

I paid $1.89 for 87oct yesterday in San Marcos, Tx. Diesel is running from $2.05 to $2.15 a gal. The TV said avg. for 87 oct. in San Antonio is now $1.92/gal. Better than some of the Western states, but it will continue to climb through the summer!

You are So right Vette Racer. It isn't only the cost of the fuel, but the cost to heat my house with propane. (which will be wood pellets next year) Even the cost of food will go up eventually. Our whole economy is basically a fuel based economy. I live in a rural type area. Eventhing up here is at least a 20 minute drive away. Not to mention that we are still in the winter season, regardless of what the calendar says. High Fuel prices really hit us hard from all directions. Maybe I should try to hit up Wal-mart for a raise,(Like that would ever happen)

Lowest gas prices in Lake Isabella, CA are $2.399. Fixed income people are being hit hard in all areas - gas, heating, food. When propane went up around here, the "pellet people" jumped on the bandwagon. We live in Kern County California, big oil businesses, and have some of the highest gas prices in the nation. What's that about?
