I think it is a mutually agreeable separation. The original agreement gave CW the exclusive right to sell aftermarket parts and accessories and the distinction between that and replacement/service parts was probably pretty clear back in 1995. Now, with RVs coming from the factory with many of what used to be accessories, things are less clear. Remodeling changes are another sticking point - if I have LD do some remodeling and they install new washer or stove or do new window awnings with a paint job, is a "service" or "aftermarket"?

The original agreement also prohibits CW from selling RVs - that's what LD does. The CW corporation is now in the RV sales business in a big way, so would undoubtedly like to be able to sell RVs in the Tampa area too. And I suspect that LD will be quite happy to expand their parts department to offer accessories.

The agreement that is being severed is actually between Don Wallace's real estate company and CW. The LD dealership business is owned by a third party and they are trying to buy the land & buildings that they now lease from Wallace. Now maybe they can lease/buy the former CW building from him as well.
