Someone mentioned smaller windows. We have some very large windows in the lounge area and get a lot of light from outside. In our situation a darker wood probably would have worked, but the medium wood is just the ticket for us. A lot does depend on the windows and natural light.

I prefer the medium colors of Maple or Oak (golden), but, between white and Cherry? I've got Cherry in my Cougar. I like it.

Yes, I do! Another thing is the dead browns and dark grays for counter-tops and flooring. Our TT reminds me of a funeral parlor. What happened to the pretty greens, blues, golds, rose colors? I also noticed the new RVs, unless in the high price class have dirt cheap very crummy curtains and sofa and dinette covers.

Our 05' tt had very light colored cabinets, which I never liked...The next few years they (Aerolite) went to a medium Oak finish. Then the last year or two to a darker cherry finish. In our home we like the cherry finish in our livingroom and bedroom.
Our 2013' has the darker cherry cabinets we like.
Some people like white cabinets, others only oak others cherry and like my parents they have a darker walnut cabinet finish in their pusher.

i will stay in my black walnut and enjoy it. to each there own if you don't like don't buy it and don't criticize some body for buying it .this what makes the usa great choice!

For me the cabinetry reflects the ambiance one is comfortable with. I find darker woods to be more formal, lighter woods a little less so. I'm comfortable with either. Our Bounder is a casual environment and the light ash woodwork sort of makes it that way. If we had cherry wood and everything were the same, it would look more formal to me. Since we are looking to retire and full time - we were ready for the less formal look and life. If we could find one with the rustic interior of a cabin in the Tetons, I think we would have bought it. That's just our mindset now. Nothing wrong with either. Just a matter of preference. Comfortable with either - will occasionally visit formal Hotel Restaurants and bars for the richness of fine dark woods. Or maybe a nice neighbor will invite us in for a cocktail.

Kind of funny; but we went with a darker wood with our new coach (English Chestnut) away from a clear oak in our old coach.
But went with a much lighter wood in our home (stix and brix) to lighten it up. Clear Hickory.
Both colors feel homey to me.
I wonder why more company's don't offer cabinetry in ash; as so many trees have had to be harvested because of the Emerald Ash Borer...Ash is a really nice wood finished in clear.
