Dash A/C Issues

So my story goes like this driving down the hiway with the dash ac on full blast and it just cuts out nothing . so I get home turn the ignition off the fan starts blowing turn ignition on the fan stops on top of that my power step wont stay out now I am thinking it is my ignition switch but would appreciate any input to help rectify this problem.

Harrumphs and gafaws. Make model and year would help. However, I just fought a similar battle. In my rig, the vacuum pump that allows you to direct dash air is on the same circuit, and same 15A fuse, as the Ignition Switch Overide, or ISO. The ISO does a few things, but most observable, it forces he steps to follow the door when you turn on the ignition.

Gas or diesel. Diesel engines make no vacuum so they usually have an electric vacuum pump. Gas engines create vacuum which is tapped off for other purposes.


Look for a fuse labeled ISO, possibly 15A. Se if it's blown.

It is gas haven't found any fuse labeled iso but I did discover my leveling jacks aren't functioning either
