Guess I'll go topside and take a look see if any spent rockets or mortars melted anything up there. The British had us surrounded, but I see Old Glory is still flying high and mighty!!

You know, I had to check out on our roof today also. Not for the British or spent rockets or mortors, but to see if there were any bullet holes in the roof. I certainly don't mind the fireworks (though ilegal where I live), but some of my neighbors believe firing a gun in the air has no consequences. I guess they forget the old saying " what goes up, must come down".

Another memory. Davy and me wuz in the big field down where the BIG rocks is in the crick. We wuz shootin bows and arrors. He shot one straight up and out o site. He started screamin' an holdin' his hands on top his head. An all of a sudden there wuz the arror agin right behind me. He scaret that arror right away from where he wuz standin'. Boy could he yell!!
