Day & Night shade stuck

One of my shades is pulled down with the night shade also pulled down, went to raise it this AM & it is frozen in place. I can't move it at all!
Has this ever happened to anyone? I don't want to force it & break it.

Howdy Katedltn. If you can get the shade out of the bracket, simply roll it up slightly (manually), then hang it back up. Sounds like you have extended the shade to the max and there's no "spring action" to roll it back up.

Also, you may just try pulling down and out(toward you) on the shade handles at the bottom. There was some hardware sticking out on ours and all it took was pulling out on the bottom to release it. We did nothing with the hardware...we just don't pull the shade down that far. Bob

You are trying just to raise the night shade first, then the day shade? Took me two days to figure out I couldn't raise them together

I also have a few shades that I have to pull out a little before I can lift them.

Are these the ones on the strings. Most of mine have been pulled down unevenly popping the end caps off and jamming in the Cornice board. I have found the best solution is to slide the jammed piece sideways to get things evened out. I then use Liquid Nails on both ends (cock the divider to get access) and then even things out and let them dry. Forget the end cap thingies.
