Anyone heard of something like this? The price of the coach is half what everyone else is asking!! I did run a vin # check Nd it came back negative for accidents and a clear title.
This is my second post😀 I read almost everything here because RVing is new to us and I don't want to end in bad place.

The coach doesn't exist, or at least not to the ad poster. This is a common scam. They will offer to "ship and inspect" once you pay your money. They generally won't answer any questions about the physical location of the item, and if they do, and you say "Hey, I have an uncle that lives right there, HE can inspect it for me!" the coach will suddenly be somewhere else, probably across the country! Or they will say it is already in the hands of the "shipper" in a "secure storage lot" and can't be inspected . . . . Take you money and RUN!

Another hint, most coaches on Craigslist that have an e-mail address printed over the top of the pic of the unit are scams. And most of the coaches that have prices like $4100, 7100, 9100 etc. And if the price ends in a weird number like $4107, $4106, etc, they are often scams posted in many different regions of the country. The discrete price allows the scammers to know which ad you are responding to without asking "which state did you see the ad?" That allows them to more effectively target their scams . . .

I live near Swanton and believe they have been out of business for a while.

DH has a favorite saying: "The stupid will be punished." Please do not be stupid!
Previous boss used to say, "You get what you inspect, not what you expect." With that in mind, we drove from NC to FL to look at the coach we eventually purchased from a very reputable dealer, AFTER we had first hired a local inspector to check it out thoroughly. Deposit was on a credit card, so there was no question of getting money back if we decided not to buy.

As others have posted, many RV purchasers do not realize that buying a motorhome is NOTHING like buying a car! The buyer must truly beware.

Did a BBB search on them and there is some information available online. Also did a Google Street View. Small business but that does not necessarily mean anything. I've never heard of a dealer offering something like that so definitely read the small print.

I would be very, very skeptical.

Look at the BBB complaint dates. All ended in 2013. Business was auctioned off in March of 2014

Sorry. Read your post thinking they were out of business, but did not click on the link about the auction. I would like to read at least once in awhile where the authorities actually arrest someone for scams.

All you can do is spread the words around the forums. I ran into an elaborate scam when searching for our motor home, complete with bogus press releases and fake websites, including spoofing an e-bay page. I reported them to everyone I could think of, their ISP, the BBB, Attorney General, ARINC, and the businesses they were using--the pictures were from an RV lot in California and the press release was from a legit company in Virginia. One of them worked because now all the on-line presence is gone, or more probably moved on to some other name and websites.

BBB ratings are mostly worthless. A business pays to have themselves listed. THEY support the BBB. Customers do not.
