As for the 220/50HZ issue this is a very easy change in the factory and most international companies make products in both systems OR make the product able to take both voltages. (Note: we are one of the few countries that use 110/120V. Most use 220/240)


These are not the issues holding back the importation. The real issue in importation is shipping, tariffs, and vehicle regulations here in the US. The bottom line is the market is too volatile, not large enough to sell enough vehicles to gain economies of scale.

European RVs are very well made. However, most are small and have porta potties to empty. U.S. RVers wouldn't go for that.
