Death Wobble
I have read the information I found here, but it was all from a few years ago. We have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, several times now we have experience the death wobble, while towing with our coach. Now in California with roads crazy busy here, we almost caused an accident trying to pull over quickly. We have had it to a Jeep dealer and completely checked. Nothing wrong. Anymore suggestions. I don't even want to hook up the car anymore, its to scary.
Would hate to finish our long trip driving the jeep .
Thanks in advance for any help.
Karen

What is the death wobble like?? I assume you are towing with 4 wheels down on the road, and does it happen at certain speed? Is it like a back and forth sway that ends in a jack knife?

See if you can locate an "off road" Jeep garage. They have much more experience dealing with the wobble problem. (common after lift kits are installed)
Have a nice day - Darrel

We have all four wheels down, when we hit uneven, rough, or deep groves in road the tires of jeep become out of sync with the coach. The front tires of the jeep start moving in different directions, which in turn shakes car and you most definitely feel it in the coach. I would think this would feel as if you had a flat tire on the coach (never had a flat). I hope I didn't just jinx us LOL.
We then have to almost come to a dead stop for jeep to become in sync with coach again. We had a cop tell us one time it happened he thought the car was going to flip, though that was a bit of exaggeration, as we can see the car in our back camera. This has happened at all different speeds 30-60. Hope this helps explain.

Does the Jeep do the same thing when driving it or does this only happen when being towed?

Do you by any chance have one of those hitch cargo carriers on the back of the jeep? Or have the jeep really heavily loaded in the rear end? It sounds like it may be a problem of the rear end of the jeep being too heavy and causing the oscillation when the front end of the jeep is bounced by bad roads. Just a thought.

Just put it on 2 wheel dolly and head out. No tags required takes 20 minutes to secure it. I have put over 15000 miles pulling my car and no issues just make sure you get the right straps. They cost anywhere from $1200 up.
