Definitions??
I know this is a stupid question but, what does DH and DW mean? I read posts all the time that have these in them and, from the context, I'm assuming it refers to your spouse. But why DH or DW? I'm new to RVing and to this forum and am confused by this.
Dependent Husband??
Dependent Wife??
????

Darling or Dear. Someone needs to make up a dictionary of all these Acronyms

Definitions??
Certainly it does not mean ... Dorky Husband ... Dopey Wife ... or does it?
I'm going to Google for "Internet acronyms" or "texting acronyms" to see if there is a dictionary.
Found one: http://www.netlingo.com/acronyms.php
More than I care to know about the subject. Typing a note in plain English is about all I can handle at my age.

Yeah, it gets to be a bit much, I spend more time thinking about what all the shortcuts mean than anything else
My DW and I used the TV for our RV, forgot to disconnect the WD, at the DS.... Blah!!!

It depends on who's talking and when and what else the other person is hearing as to what the person that is reading thinks it means:
DW - What does DW stand for?

See? Not every knows what the person typing means if you keep typing in a shortened language. I try very hard to not type in a shortened fashion. I like to make sure people know exactly what I mean when I type.

Beyond the point where you figure out it's husband or wife, I think it fair to use your imagination and the context of the note to figure out the rest of it. (DW/DH)

Mavagrand, your not alone in questions regarding acronyms. There are many post asking the same. If you use the IRV2 google search at the top header you'll find detailed information as to what is used on this forum. Lots to learn and lots of fun!
