Question Dehumidifier sizes?

I know there are several threads on this but I have a couple of specific questions.

1: Is it better to have a small unit in each room or a larger single unit?

2: Does anyone have any photos of their unit for size reference? I could not find any local so I will be ordering it/them sight un-seen.

3: can anyone recommend a good Hygrometer?

I hate the condensation buildup on the windows/walls so whichever works best it what I'm after, Thanks!

P.S. I read plenty of threads on keeping the vents and fans going.

I'm curious about this, too. I imagine that it really doesn't matter... though the larger units won't need to have the water emptied out as often so might be more convenient.

Some reading on this subject Dehumidifiers Everything You Wanted To Know About Dehumidification | AllergyConsumerReview and Window Basics | Understanding Condensation
Just like your home, if water is forming on your windows(best contact point for humidity) your humidity level is to high, just like in the summer when your A/C is running and you have to turn on your wipers as the condensation has formed on the outside this time. under high outside humidity). Water vapor (can't see it) is attracted to the anything that is colder that the supporting air, inside in the winter, outside in the summer.
