Thank you for your service, Tank!
With that said, I think your views of medical care outside of the U.S. are very closed minded! I rented a house in Los Algodones, Mx. for 4 years. And I saw many, many, people from all over the U.S. and Canada, that came there for their dental care! And most of them had been there before, and were happy with the prices and the service! One of the dentist's converted her home into a motel, a very nice one, and gives her customers free rooms during their work that they are having done! Find that kind of service in the good ol USA?
I married a beautiful lady from Thailand and I live here now! I got diagnosed with prostate cancer after living here for a year, and had the robotic assisted surgery to remove the prostate, by one of the best Dr.'s in Asia. No complications, went thru the radiation treatments for 33 day's, and now am cancer free! The cost here was a tenth of what it would have been in the U.S. and every bit as good if not MUCH better!!
So, one other thing I noticed others referring too, "cut rate care, or budget care". Because it is so much cheaper there than the U.S.? It is first rate service and care, for the most part! Sure you have the "not so good" as everywhere, but just do your research! That is from the people that have not been there and had the services! For Sure! The prices in the U.S. are so much higher because of the insurance industry, and all the sue happy people that try to get something for nothing! The health care in the U.S. is out of control, along with the costs!
These are some of the things I have seen first hand, or experienced myself, no hear say! One of my best friends was a Dr. and surgeon, and was forced out of private practice because of the insurance costs!
So, to sum this all up, too each his own! Rail!
