Diesel disposal
Hi; I haven't seen this discussed, and haven't needed to do yet.
What do you do with the diesel in the filter if your have to change fuel filter on the side of the road (rest area) due to algae? Isn't it considered hazardous material?

When I had a diesel in my boat, I used to just pour it out on the concrete and it would evaporate pretty quick. Probably not legal, but safe in my opinion.

Have another container with you that you can pour it into, use it at home to start the brush pile that collects all summer. We carry a container that is sealed so that I have something to pour diesel fuel from when I check the primary filter. Since I was haz-mat certified at one time I cannot or will I, just dump the fuel on the ground.

When I was a Boy Scout we called it "Girl Scout Water". You know: not rubbing 2 sticks together. Cheating.

Our Scoutmaster called it "Magic matches".. His bucket of lighter wood strips was his "cheaters", for when the firewood was wet..

I have no clue as to what Freightliner does with it. They're paid to handle it.

Put it in a sealed bucket and at the next town find a automotive shop or oil change shop and they can dispose it for you.
