Differences in water pumps

One of the mounts on our water pump was broken when we bought our first rv a year ago and I used a heavy cable tie to fix it. I has been working fine since. It does seem a bit noisy, but never having heard one before, I can't really judge. Pumps seem fairly inexpensive and easy to replace, so am wondering what to look for in a new pump. What are the advantages of a more expensive pump? How dependable are they?

I suggest the new Revolution from Shurflo. It is the new standard and is very quiet and reliable. It is a bypass pump and replaces older models easily. Check their web site. The more expensive pumps have had their issues with reliability, go simple and efficient.
