Direct TV Remote
We have a new RV and when we left the dealer 2 weeks ago, I had satelite working as well as antenna, and cable on both the front and back TVs. We have 2 receivers so that we can watch different channels. I can now only get antenna TV on both TVs and Satelite on only 1 TV. I know where the button is to change from antenna to cable. I think I am just pressing buttons in the wrong order. Any help for an old person ?

my experience is that you will need to point the TV's remote at Satellite Only TV, change input to HDMI 2 ( or other, whatever input the sat is plugged into ) make sure attached sat receiver is turned on and it should work.
If not working yet you may need to turn off your over the air (OTA) antenna's power.

TV set to air, receiver on either channel 3 or 4, match the tv to whichever you select, ant. power booster off, scan for channels.....all this with tv remote.....sometimes after scanning, might have to select channel 3 or 4 again with tv remote.......Cable is only used when you're hooked up to a park cable....

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
Congrats on the new rig! I don't think anyone can help without more information on the switching box you have. Keep her between the ditches!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome: Once you find the solution be sure to write it down. In a week or two you may forget. These entertainment system setups can be very complicated.
Since one tv does received the satellite signal that establishes you have a signal coming in.
Your second tv "INPUT" programmed via the TV remote and NOT the direct tv remote is what you need to check.
It indeed is likely a HDMI input that needs to be selected. I suspect your Satellite receiver box is close to your second tv???? of course make sure it is turned on.

We have a genie receiver and a mini-genie slave receiver - each has their own remote. The remotes talk to the TVs via IR signal, but they talk to the receivers via RF signal - so each remote only affects its own receiver. That said, the things that need to happen have been outlined: each TV has to be set to whatever input the receiver is connected to, and the receivers have to be connected to the dish, and powered up. If one receiver is working, then either the other receiver is not connected to power, input or output, and/or the TV is not accessing the correct input.
