Direct TV sale to Dish

Just got off the phone with Direct TV Service Tech in Ft Myers Fl. There will be no sale of DTV to Dish TV. For now we are stuck with ATT. DTV is for sale but don't expect that to happen anytime soon. 4th Tech coming to my house tomorrow to try to fix my problem. Supposedly LEAD Tech.

Doubtful that a service tech would know what a corporation will or won't do.

It was only a rumor anyway, based on an opinion by one big investor who would like to see it sold. Nobody at AT&T seems to be actively pursuing a sale, though it's still probably one of the options on the table.


I think the issues facing RVers who use DirectTV will be the same even if AT&T divests it. Aging satellites and dramatic changes in broadcast tv industry are going to affect mobile existing satellite users no matter what.
