Directions and toll roads

We are traveling from Indiana to Prince Edward Island and it would be great if I could find a sight that had directions with toll cost. Looking for ideas.

Toll fare calculator by state

FWIW, when driving to PEI, go to the island via the ferry and return via the bridge. You only pay for entering, exiting is free. The ferry is cheaper than the bridge.

Last time we were there, bridge entry was free and ferry exit had a cost. Of course, this was in 2003.

The above links will give you the US toll roads, not necessarily the Canadian toll roads.
If you take the Canadian route you will go through Toronto. At Toronto highway 407 is an electronic toll road, no pay booths.
If you don't have a 407 transponder the cameras take your picture entering and leaving the 407. They will send the bill to your address your plate is registered to including all out of province plates.
If you are towing a car remove or cover the rear plate on the car or you will get billed for both the RV and the car. (this is what I was told to do by the 407 people as I use this highway a lot). Also be mindful that they don't charge you as an overweight vehicle. It is a computer that reads the picture and like all computers it is dummer than a post when determining vehicle weight. If you are under 5 metric tonnes you should be charged the same rate as a car.
Enjoy your trip

Directions to PEI are pretty easy unless you want to stay off toll roads and boondock across VT and NH, then they get 'interesting'. If you stay on the Interstates, I-90 to Worcester/Auburn, MA, I-295 to near Portsmouth NH, I-95 (Maine Turnpike) or US1 to Bangor. US9 to the CA border, no tolls but it is s-l-o-w driving. Cross at Calais to CA Rt 1 (I hope you are going to stop a couple days at Fundy National Park!!) then on to the bridge (The Confederation Bridge) - you pay when leaving.

There aren't a lot of CGs on PEI, but I recommend New Glasgow Highlands Campground . We stayed there a week in 2014 and hope to return either this year or next

The NY Thruway will be expensive(http://www.thruway.ny.gov/travelers/tolls/calc/trip.cgi) - 4 axles, over 8' height and no E-Z Pass, will be about $69. Mass Turnpike <10 bucks, NH and Maine Turnpikes, another $10 or so.

These are the tolls for 2016 for the Confederation Bridge. In USD, ~20% less based on today's exchange rate: 2016 Toll Rates Vehicles First 2 Axles $46.00 Each Additional Axle $7.50
