Directories

Probably been asked a thousand times, but I haven't found it. Is there a really comprehensive campground guide or directory? Federal, state, county, city campgrounds plus commercial. Maybe regional or sectional.

The most complete single publication is Woodall's.
It is not cheap, but you can get the same thing free if you are a AAA member. Other than that, there are about five on-line campground directories of varying reliability.

As we drive along I will use the android smart phone and open Google Maps. Then I will type in the search bar "rv park campground resort city state" then I will also add the city and state of where we might want to stop at the end. Click enter and it will show me quite a few in the area. I can then click on the ones that are close to the road and see if there are any reviews anywhere on the web about them. It will also usually show me the website address so I can look at the amenities and prices.
