I lose my signal almost everytime we get bad weather. Next day even if clear I have to due a recalibration to get signal back Cloud cover with mist today and cannot get dome to get signal. Have been stationary for weeks so the dome should not even have to search ? Anyone else have this problem ?

If my Kingdome loses the satellite signal because of rain or snow my DirecTV receiver automatically restarts when the weather clears with no re-calibration by me...
(turning my Kingdome OFF prevents it from searching if/when the satellite signal is lost for any reason).

Do you turn your Kingdome OFF after it finds and locks onto satellite 101?

Where are you located.

We have a King Dome and had Dish back ~2009. When we were in Florida it would latch onto a signal almost immediately. We took a trip to Alaska and the further we went north the worst it got. When we were in Glacier National Park the we couldn't get a signal. While my wife went into a grocery store I took the Dome off the top and immediately picked up a signal. I called King Dome and told them my problems & that if I took the Dome off I could get a signal. They were APPAULED that I took the Dome off and said that was BAD BAD BAD. So I put it back on and didn't get another signal, didn't even try the rest of the trip. When I got back home I canceled Dish.

I did do some research on the issue and if the dome is dirty it causes interference. Also, if the dome has been painted with the wrong type of paint it would cause interference.

You might try cleaning the dome thoroughly and then applying a coating of RainX to keep the dew from building up.
