Dirt Devil

RV Upgrades has the Dirt Devil at almost HALF the price of Amazon. Is this the same VAC or something else?

I use a small "Shop-Vac" under the dining bench seat, and exhaust the the discharge to the outside through the floor. Only a foam filter is used to protect the impeller blades. It needs cleaning only once a year to get rid of large debre.

Check the model numbers. RVupgrades is quite competitive. I know for a fact the one they sell is a great vac.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

We work directly with HP Products who makes the Dirt Devil CV1500 RV central vacuum and have worked with them on new variations based around that super powerful main unit. So the unit you see for $199.95 is the new 2016 version and the only difference is that is does not include the rug rat carpet cleaning attachment. Since so many of the new RV's no longer have carpeting it made sense to offer it in this configuration.

Since so many RV'ers are still upgrading to a central vac we will continue to offer the original CV1500 with Rug Rat. We also carry the all new Vroom CV1500 which features the very easy to install retractable hose system. If you want to get fancy and do a custom install or add a vac pan we have all of the connectors, fittings and hoses you would need for that as well.

Just a note on Amazon prices: Not all items are sold direct by Amazon and lower priced. Often the same item is available from multiple vendors, some "fulfilled" thru Amazon's warehouse, some direct from the vendor, and maybe one of them both sold & fulfilled by Amazon. Also, the Amazon direct price is not always the lowest, a fact that is disclosed on every item page if there is more than one seller.

As with most things, it pays to shop around!

Is the rug rat accessory really a "must have" does it work? is there enough suction to actually rotate the brushes?
