On top of the mentioned discount cards, the no annual fee Barclaycard Arrival Plus MasterCard gives 2.1 % back when you redeem for statement credit against travel purchases. Has no foreign transaction fee.

Use as backup to the PenFed Visa card in cases where the PenFed cannot be swiped multiple times.

In Ohio & Western PA. the Giant Eagle grocery chain has a card (Advantage Card) Every $50 in food purchases you get $3 in free gas. At times during the year they double their "fuel Perks". Comes out to $12 of "free gas" per $100 of gift cards bought. Any of our Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowe's, Burger King....
we get about $1000 to $1400 a year in "free gas".

Also have the Ohio Golden Buckeye Card. 50% Sun - Thru night off at Ohio State Parks. (OH. residents only)

Also have the America the Beautiful National Park Access card. 50% off at some National parks...

I'm a PenFed user for 5 cents off the pump price. Also have the flying J card that gives (I think) another 3 cents off at the pump at Flying J. I use the PenFed card for most other purchases but also AmEX has 3 cents on fuel. We mostly stay at Elks lodges (must be a member) but often Passport America works well for us.
