I have a pair of Dish Network 508 DVRs and they are both starting to act up with the same problem.
When I have timers set to record, the system changes the channel, but the screen either goes black or the record function does not start. This is especially true if I have paused a pre-recorrded program.
It doesn't do it all the time - just enough to drive my wife crazy.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Oh ues - the living room DVR runs off the factory installed Winegard Moving On dish; the bedroom DVR gets it's signal from my Datastorm dish.
Help???
Paul

Have you asked the Dish people? They may have an answer. Seems funny that both units freeze!

You might try posting on dbsforums.com and/or dbstalk.com. Lots of help and info on those 2 sites.

I'm moving this to General Discussion to give it a wider audience than just the motorhome crowd. All kinds of RVs have DVRs and Dish. For that matter, people have them in their homes too.
