Quick question for you good people with the stackables, how long does it take from start to finish to wash and dry? Just curious.

We have the stacked W/D units. We are not full time but very close. We or I should say DW spends on average 5 days a week in the MH. She is very conservative & if she doesn't need any of the clothes during her stay she will bring them home & do both hers & mine together in the S&B W/D .
You say you will be in the rv for 2-3 days a week. If you are staying long term at a campground, you may be paying for your electric. Which in case you may find that the WD at your home may be more efficient. If my DW is not paying for electric she is not as conservative with it. One plus to her conservative manner has helped us both to be more efficient at home also.

Takes me no time at all

, but the DW that's a different story. Actually I have no idea. What I do know is that when the washer is complete she will put it through another spin cycle & that helps on the amount of time the dryer takes to dry the clothes.

Sounds like me around the house.

I have no idea how long it takes her to do the laundry. I just know I have clean clothes all the time and the laundry fairy still loves me.

Hate to give a cop out but....it depends.

You can select long or short cycles as needed. Just like a S&B set, the type of clothes also affect performance, especially in the dryer. The stacked washer can still hold more than the dryer so you still have to consider that when loading the washer.

In general, my observation is that the dryer does take more time to dry similar size loads in a larger, S&B dryer. Drying time can be reduced by avoiding excessive dryer loads. In short, small washer loads equals small dryer loads and thus better drying times.

Let's see...Martha puts the clothes in the washer and set the timer for 12 minutes (I think) and when they're done puts them in the dryer, we usually go to bed and the dryer runs while we sleep. In the morning we have clean towels waiting for us. For shirts, pants and such I think she said it takes about an hour or so to dry... For some strange reason those pesky buttons and knobs don't fit my fingers so I have no first hand experence to speak from...

Depends on the cycle for washing. I generally use the 30 minute wash cycle and they are clean. The dryer is 120 instead if 220 and takes at least double the time from a regular household dryer. Still, it is worth it to me. No more laundry mats where people have washed who knows what. At one laundry, someone had urinated in the dryer. Thank goodness I looked before adding my clothes. Not sure how you clean that out of a dryer,
