I had a small accident and a new tire was required as part of the repair. I called my Emergency Road Service, got a new tire and was on my way. My insurance refused to cover the tire as part of the repair. I now realize I have an extended warranty that will cover the tire, but I did think of them at the time and did not call them first. Anyone have any experience with this? Do I have a chance of having the tire replacement covered?

Read your policy. They pretty well spell out what is not covered. I doubt if they will cover tires, belts, hoses or any normal wear items.
Sorry to hear about the accident. Maybe you regular policy on the RV will cover the tire as part of the damages if you report it.

Unless you purchased special tire road hazard coverage, your extended warranty (service contract) will not cover tires - it is a "normal wear" item. And the fact that you did not get repairs pre-authorized by the insurer also means that coverage would almost surely be refused. However, it doesn't cost a thing to call and ask.
Read your extended warranty contract first and then call the claims number.

Hi barnrt,
Welcome to iRV2. I hope to hear about your adventures good or bad. We all learn from each other.
Congrats on having an extended warranty that covers tires. My extended warranty also covers tires. The advice to read your contract and see what the process is for making a claim is the answer to your question. Different companies have different rules. My agreement says I must get approval before work commences and the tire must be available for inspection.

I have a ext warranty on tires alone. From experience they can find more loop holes in the policy to keep from covering anything that happens
