It's the same all over.... We used to take sheet, bar and billet aluminium in the south door of my mile long building and fly airplanes out the north door. Now we have no machines to make the parts and unload parts made all over the world and put airplanes together. We went from being manufacturers to being assemblers and threw away a vast array of capabilities and skills in the process.

Consumers are totally price driven not quality driven. Its a shame

I will, out of necessity buy off shore products. Depending on what it is. But when it comes to the safety of my family and everyone else on the road for that matter, I want the best I can get. To me, that's American made. Not by some foreign country that hate's us anyway.

Not all chinese made products are inferior to USA made products. And------not all products made in the USA are superior to chinese produced items. Quality is quality regardless of the country that produces it. I am reminded, back in the day, when Japanese made products were considered junk. In todays world economy, you have to accept using foreign made goods, or get used to doing without.
JMHO --- YMMV.

The Carlisle tires I bought for my ZTR mower are made in the U.S.A. I think they make all their bias-ply tires here, radials are all made in China.

After having five of eight Chinese bearings from eTrailer start to fail from poor quality steel and out of tolerance manufacturing, I replaced them with USA made Timkens. I found them at Summit Racing, ask before purchasing.

News this morning said: Ford will move ALL small car production to Mexico. The Ford spokesman also said no U.S.A. workers would lose their job. Some trick if true.
