Since i continue to evaluate my thoughts on this 'Firearm in RV?' subject,
and am a collector so I'm not evaluating THAT aspect of the question,
I do wonder though if there is another draw to carrying in the woods, a draw that we all aren't so anxious to admit.

I think to myself .... Where do I ever personally feel threatened, and what action do I take there?
well... lets see ...

- Road rage in the big-city has certainly become more prominent in the last handful of years, as versus 10, 20 or 30 years ago. (i still have decided to NOT carry a loaded gun in my truck, although I could)
- the big malls where the 18 year old kids walking around with puffed up chests on Saturdays looking for something to do (again,.. i go and buy my Craftsman tools on those days and enjoy myself, with no loaded 1911 under my shirt, and so far I am happy as a lark doing it!!)
- I have witnessed a lot of revitalization of certain downtown and crosstown SanDiego neighborhoods over 40 years; and the Beach areas after dark???? (come to think of it, I haven't carried there either)

And then I think of where have I typically felt the most at ease, relaxed. Where i have met what I would typify as the BEST that mankind has to offer. Where have i met those people???
Well, i decided a long time ago that i didn't need to carry there either.
I thinks to myself, there just might be another draw to carrying a loaded gun while out in the big wide woolly woods. But for now,... I'm not.

So, for me and me only, no one else, just my personnal guidelines for me, even though trained and saavy, when i am out there with the best that humanity has to offer, and maybe having a beer and noticing that a lot of other campers sometimes enjoy a cocktail as well, ...
friendly folk in every direction, ...
I leave mine at home.

I'm not saying if I do or if I don't. The Commonwealth of PA says I can legally. I use to compete in IPSC and USPSA matches. Did that for 7 years. Did the trap shooting and the long range 30 cal. matches as well. And being a Life member of the NRA for 27 years has given me lots of insight into legalities of CCW permits. Do I carry while camping? Like some say "don't ask - don't tell", but I would hope that my 10" NRA Life Member decal on the rear of my TT might be a clue to the Riff-Raff to think twice. I just hope they can read. I'd hate to waste good ammo. Kidding!

ALWAYS. Better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it. you only make that mistake once. no second chance.

we ARE a nation founded on freedoms that are eaten away little by little by every special intrest group with a cause and financial backing..... so the long and short of it ......carry or don't..... and face the problems of your choices...good people or not it will make no differance if your dead or lose a loved one

One thing for sure is you CANNOT legally take a pistol into or through Canada
You can legally take a handgun into Canada for sporting events if you have the proper permit in advance.
