A few years ago I had a Tiffin Allegro Bus, was certain I could carry my cat along. But the cat had never traveled during her first six years.....
Placed her in a large cage, water, food, kitty liter, strapped into one of the hide-a-beds in the bus. Let her stay for about an hour, then checked on her.
Results: Kitty liter, food, and water all combined, flung all over the bus. Not a happy cat. Then, so I could walk her outside the bus, attempted to put a collar on her which went under chin and behind front legs... did not want her running off thousands of miles from home. There was no way she was going to allow me to place a collar on her as she had never had one, was not going to have one, and after significant blood loss on my part, I agreed.
So, my answer is no, I do not travel with pets, or at least my pets.
The Tiffin Bus was, on one occasion, very nice with four adults, Pit Bull and Jack Russell for a week at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. But in general, I travel with only my stuffed animals.
