Does a combo scooter and bike hitch carrier exist?

New RV'er and looking to hit the road. I am looking for ways to haul my 250 lb scooter and 2 bicycles on the hitch of my 31 foot class A motor home. The hitch is rated for 500 lb so the combined scooter and bicycles weight shouldn't be more than 300 lbs. I've checked the forums and searched websites for a combo carrier that will carry a scooter and 2 bicycles but keep coming up empty. At one point I found a photo of such a carrier but couldn't find a link of anywhere to purchase so it might have been a custom built.

Is anyone aware of such a hitch carrier?

If not the alternative I am considering is a hitch mount for the scooter and putting the bikes on a ladder carrier. My concern is the scooter hitch will be too close that the 2 bikes will not fit between the scooter and the ladder mount.

You're not going to find something specific for a scooter and bicycles, but making something for a scooter hold both should be pretty easy. Here is a rack from Walmart http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hitch-Haul...ingMethod=p13n

You can secure the bikes to the ramp on this model.

Many also will add a hitch mount to the front of the coach and carry the bikes up front.

Dan, thanks for the feedback. I considered a platform type carrier but was concerned with the angled straps for the tie-downs there would be little room for bikes. I think the photo I once saw must have been a custom built carrier.

If no one has suggestions for a single carrier capable of carrying a scooter and 2 bikes I'll need to go with the option of the bikes on a ladder carrier.

Wdeertz.....Find a friend with a welder. By the scooter rack and then just have them weld a square tube receiver onto it that will accept a bike rack.

You can buy the scooter rack, often at places like Pep Boys and even Harbor Freight. Harbor Freight sells all types of hitches and square tubing receivers. Buy the rack, figure out where you want the receiver mounted, stop by a hitch or muffler shop and have them weld it to the rack.

Heck, if you lived nearby, I would weld it for you. This is really a simple project.

Like Dutch said it has to be custom built. I use the same hitch hauler I built for my DL650 on the MH for the Scooter:

Don, thanks, have ordered the scooter rack and will have a receiver welded on as suggested. Problem solved.
