Okay - so me and the family hate skeeters - also hate wearing bug repellant so . . . What is the best way to keep the blood suckers away? I have heard about this thermacell thing - any good? Other ideas??

The thermacell has worked for me against mosquitos and no-see-ums on my boat and in the North Carolina mountains. The real test will be Pennekamp SP in two weeks. You need to fire it up for about fifteen minutes before it is affective.

We just use the mesquito coils and set 2 or 3 around the campground. Works everytime.

We have four of them and they DO work great! We got ours from their web site for half price! They were the previous years' models!! Even in a medium breeze, we just put them upwind of us and down wind of a tree or a table on its side.

You don't live in S.W. Florida! We can barely make it to the car without a hundred of them all over us...

They are the best thing since pockets on a T-shirt. There are some big skeeters here in Louisiana and with my thermacell they don't even show up. If you are trying to keep them out of a large area, you will need more than one.

I heard that if a person was to go on a 10 day drunk and not shower, the mosquitoes will stay away. I wouldn't know, though.

I've also heard if you eat enough garlic they'll stay away, but so might the little woman!! I've eaten as much as my stomach can take and STILL get bit. I'll stick with my Thermacells!!
