Does your RV qualify?

I've noticed that some campgrounds have policies that restrict the age of your RV some say 10 yrs, some 15 yrs old. I just noticed one in New Mexico that wants you to send pictures of your rig to see if you qualify for an exemption to their 10 yr restriction. While I don't fall into this category. It is my feeling that it is just too much.

I would never stay at a resort like this. But, I wonder what everyone else thinks about this policy?

I always figured that the policy allows RV parks to present an objective reason for refusal of service after making a subjective determination.

Last year, we stayed in a KOA in San Diego that apparently did not have the policy. We enjoyed sitting in our chairs and watching the warped, mildewed, delaminated and saggy old RVs pull in. I was in no way offended, it did not reduce the value of my stay, and it was entertaining. The old ones are always more interesting than the new ones!

BTW, we have a 1998, and it really looks nice. I would expect no issues with the above mentioned campground.

all fun and games until MR White sets up his lab next to you
Mostly for monthly stays as in many states monthlys cant be evicted for non payment for Months. This is more of a problem for park owners than you imagine. Its just a tool (one of few) they have to keep the park nice in a economy that RV's are used in many ways. As already said a objective excuse for a subjective "feeling" Dont have a photo to email? dont want to? then dont stay its their PRIVATE property. Public park then you can call foul, and should!

I have an 05 and am over 10 model years old. I keep indoors and clean. I don't like the 10 year rule, so at least if a camp ground will consider a picture, I guess they are not judging my coach just on its age. I do admit that I probably would look elsewhere to stay if the asked for a picture. I believe there are enough rv parks that will take me.

Considering I have a 2001 Class A, don't think I would be staying in that park. There are plenty of parks!!!

Some states make it damn near impossible to evict someone. Owners of newer rvs are less likely to be financially irresponsible, except for the purchase of the newer rv. If someone decides to over stay their money and welcome, the property owners have an ugly and expensive problem. The unintended but easily foreseeable consequence of stupid legislation favoring squatters over property owners.
