Dog House Fix / 1995 Class A

I recently had the tedious task of removing old carpet off the Dog House, OMG! It was a nightmare, of sorts, but the pay off, a beautifully adorned Dog House, from the faded blue to a plush, but clean sleek looking black. I have posted the video of the project, excuse some of the language, lol. But I wanted to share it with those of you considering this project in the near future or present. Here it is: Tim's in the Doghouse, Again! If you like the Dark Nest Travels videos, feel free to subscribe for future DIY's and travels that we plan on trailing to. Thanks for peeking!

Good job. We used to have a 1994 Legacy 34 foot Airstream. Great rig!
I did lots of mods to it, then sold it after buying our current rig.
Happy Glamping.

Looks really good Tim!. I went a different route since the engine noise was louder than I like. After stripping the carpet I covered the dog house(coach side) with two layers of "Rattle trap" sound deadener and then installed a 3/8 strip of carpet tack around the perimeter I covered then with carpet padding and then a layer of auto carpet cut taped and formed to fit I stretched it over the carpet tack and then secured with staples. Not as smooth as yours came out but for me it was worth the trade off to eliminate 90% of the noise and heat. I also did the same procedure for the cockpit floor .

Thanks, Rick. Fortunately the dog house had about 3" of enging blocker on the inside formed to the dog house and the noise is at a minimal. That's a great idea though if the noise starts to increase!
