Dometic A/C replacement

I suspect I'll have to replace my 25-year-old Dometic analog thermostat and control box soon. Since that's a goodly part of the way towards replacing the entire unit, which is 25 years old, what say you?

The a/c is working like gangbusters but the thermostat is getting wonky, showing multiple lights, and I understand that to replace the thermostat requires a new control box.

I'm not wedded to Dometic but the fact that I have two 25-year-old Dometic air conditioners and a refrigerator says something to longevity at least so far.

No, unfortunately, mine's older or different. No lcd, just sliding switches in a grey box and a light illuminates next to the switch position.
