We are in West Virginia...and let me tell you...Sooooooooo Gross! I have killed over 400 today alone. I took a Flyswatter to the outside of our 5th wheel because I read that if you do kill them, why...yes they smell bad, but it signals death to the others. Not sure if that is true or not...but the completely gross me out and I did not feel bad about it. I also took cotton balls and put peppermint oil on them and tucked them in the outside corners of the slides. They have invaded my bedroom...Ughhhhhh! My husband assures me they are not as active at night...but think I will sleep in the chair tonight. Booooo Stinkbugs!

It's interesting that that page cites an early spring as part of the reason there are so many. We had anything BUT an early spring in Va this year.

We are in Staunton Va. Yesterday we had hundreds on the shady side of our coach. We couldn't shut the windows with out going outside and cleaning them off of the screens and I had to brush them out of the window tracks. I talked to another guy two sites up, he had hundred in his water heater compartment. We are heading to Pa. tomorrow I hope there are not so bad.

We were Asheville NC last week and had to spend a LOT of time trying not to bring any home. Used napkin and zip lock bag for the job.

That'd awful. In all my travels the past 7 months. I think I found 10 of them. I guess I've been lucky. I'm in north eastern TN and I saw 1 stink bug last night. I'm heading to NC next week. I hope not to run into these things.

This is really too bad. Love that place! The views in the fall are breathtaking! Nice central location for toad day trips. We've been there for the last 2 seasons and never ran into anything like this! -Al

I went outside to prepare to leave and could not find a single stinkbug on the RV! When I took off the tire covers I found them! I guess they found a nice warm place to sleep!

Well ain't this great. We are having a WIT Club chapter outing at Luray this weekend. I hope they stay on the New Market side of the mountain. My wife will freak if they are there this weekend.

Here in Iowa as the beans start coming out so do the Asian beetles by the thousands. They bite and they smell when squished. We also have the ever popular Box Elder infestation right now.

I've spent the past two weeks in hungry mother state park in Marion, Va. We have had quite the infestation. I grab them in my hands gently like I would a dragonfly I wanted to remove from the rig and throw them outside. The onslaught has dropped off greatly in the last couple of days. Although I've never thought of myself as sadistic, I do get my jollies turning on the fantastic fans when I see them on the screens.

Mike, I think you better prepare her for it! Those things are all over that area! We left there this morning and stopped at a CG at Greenwood, VA, and they were worse there that at New Market! We came on down to Lexington, VA and they are not quite as bad here.

I can see it now. You pick them up in your RV's and you live out west and are headed there. Do you bring those nasty things all the way out west to populate the areas in the west? I hope they hate it out west .
