Ray, I think they were talking about this specific species, the brown marmorated stink bug from Asia. ?

It is not the campground.

We left PA 10/1 last year with hundreds of stinkers aboard.

This year we left in 9/3. No stinkers.

What I remember from those decades, looked like that picture. Don't see many these days. All we have now are the Asian beetles that resemble ladybugs, and I have a cure for them. Each fall, about now, I spray the exterior of the house with residual insect killer. Quite often I have to use the leaf blower to clear the porch and patio.

You will find them all along the South East.
I was raised in Va. 20 miles from Richmond and then
lived in Williamsburg.

We always saw some. Not like you are talking about.

Here in Ga. I see a couple daily and just ignore them.

Fortunately I have not encountered the numbers you are reporting.

We always have them at our cabin in South Dakota I mix dish detergent and water and spray them they can't breath with soap on them.one year we had some kind of hard shell worms that were everywhere.dont know how they got in but it was really gross, nothing seemed to kill them.it was in the fall, and haven't had them since.do have the beetle things that bite every year.aint nature grand.
