DP Motorhome fire I75 north of Tifton, GA

Didn't see this posted here. Somebody had a bad day, looked like a Winnebago Destination DP had an engine fire on I75 just north of Tifton, GA.

They passed us doing about 70, then a little while later saw a black plum around the bend, came up on it and the rear and toad where burning, bunch of cars stopped and crowd formed looked like everyone was ok.

Snapped these pics:

Wow, hope I never see anything like that! What would cause a fire in the engine compartment like that, or where ever it might have started?

Diesel run very hot, turbo's, exhaust etc, it's why they are so efficient, however when something goes wrong it can go really wrong. I believe a common cause is hydraulic drive on side radiators getting a leak spraying fluid all over the very hot engine leading to a fire. Not sure if this winnie was a side radiator.

Don't think they were coming from there, I saw those fair grounds in Perry later on, thought it was a Rv show, this was further south, just outside of Tifton around 11:15 am.
