We're about a year out before we retire and go full time, so we have time to really do our research. So far, our fav coach has been the 2007 Newmar Dutchstar, model 2024. Any input on year and model?

Appreciate any advice we can get. Thanks in advance!
If you have Tiffin on your list you may want to check to see if the particular coach you are looking at has had any of what are referred to as the "Big Three" issues on Tiffin. The roofs and ceilings, wet bays, and slides have had a number of problems so I would check very carefully as to whether or not those items have been addressed. Check out the Tiffin RV Forum for more info on various models and years of Tiffin.

The list of Out Of Business coaches should NOT include Country Coach. They definitely have a booming business and are in the process of designing their new line of coaches.

If you find Travel Supreme, they also made a high quality DP. Entegra is based upon the older TS techniques and ideas.

I personally take offense that that comment. I own a Sportscoach by Coachmen and it is a fine DP. Probably the best deal out there for a DP. I'd buy another.

They have been in the process of designing and building a new coach for a number of years now. Ron is trying to get some money from China through the EB5 program and it sounds like he doesn't have it yet. He has been working on that for a fe years now. Also business isn't that good as they have laid off some techs here in the last few weeks.

Just because a company is out of business does NOT mean stay away. Country Coach and Travel Supreme both made excellent coaches, and you can get some great deals on late model used.

[moderator edit]. OPs question is legit. We have all been shopping for something, and in general conversation with others someone ALWAYS comes up with ..."whatever you do, don't buy ______ because they _____." whether it's a microwave, refrigerator or a Motorhome.

What I would suggest to the OP is to go to each of the individual owner's forums and read up on problems or praise of each. You find one has roof problems, one has wet bay problems, one has overweight problems ... Tons of info, you just have to dig a little.

Good luck, and keep us posted!
