I'm looking for a drawer slide (@250 # capacity) to put my generator on thus making it accesible. The generator needs to be outside the compartment to run it so this would solve the problem of having to lift it in and out each time. I imagine I will need some sort of support rod to help stabilize the whole thing once it is extended.

Any links, advice and comments will be appreciated.

Thanks
Grunt

I think Camping World sells these large drawers.
Another place to look is:

Good luck

I finally located a 500# door slide , it was $100 dollars cheaper than buying one that was already built (i.e. with a platform for gen to sit on) I figure for $100 I can build my own.Ovis Drawer Slides

Check out Dynaslide at

http://www.nclnet.com/dynaslide.html

They have slides from 50# capacity and 10 in. long to ones that have hundreds of # capacity and very long.

I just made a batt. tray (sized for two Trojan T105's that weigh about 125#) using their 200# capacity slides that were 12 in. long.

They maybe stocked/ordered through one of your local Cabinet supply companys. They will be much less expensive than CW/Kwikee etc.
