Paradise, PA --Today I'm placing my "10,000 Post!" It hasn't been easy at times but it's always been fun. After all that's what iRV2 is all about is fun, and this is what keeps us coming back day after day.
Early on as far back as 1996, I was running a Fifth Wheel trailer, a Terry 32-5F and we pulled our "Fiver" with a 1997 F250 4x4 SC PSD w/ a Banks Stinger & Pullrite fifth wheel hitch. My Internet interests at the time were focused on my truck so I signed up on Ford Diesel .com or something similar and I enjoyed that for the time that I was there. My interests however were always geared toward RV towing and not so much toward the "gear head" thing so I asked the forum owner, Jason I believe his name is to put up an "RV" towing forum. This effort yielded limited results.
Then one day while navigating the site someone posted that there was a new Internet website called iRV2.com and that they did deal with towing and tow vehicles. Great! I came over and immediately signed up and started posting. That was some 4 and a-half years ago!
Since that time I have met some of the very best people in the world and I have made many long lasting personal relationships with several iRV2 members. I appreciate iRV2 in that it has been the medium where people like me of similar interests can get together communicate and share ideas and fun times.
I became a Moderator sometime around 2001 and at that time I was working the Fifth Wheel & Travel Trailer forums. Quite a few of the early Moderators surfaced at that time like Richard Hale, Dave George and others and it's been a distinct pleasure knowing and working with all these folks over the years. In 2003 I became an Administrator along with Richard and Dave and we've been working with Bill to continue to bring you on a daily basis this forum as you see it today.
In 2001 a coalition of the willing was assembled to promote and launch a "new" member benefit called the "iRV2.com National Rally". The "First" National Rally was held in Myrtle Beach, SC in September 2001 and since then we have never looked back. iRV2 members from that point forward have stepped up and accepted the challenge to promote a National Rally 4 additional times since then, and I am now here in Paradise, PA at the Mill Bridge Village Camp Resort to attend the 5th National Rally.
Currently I spend a lot of time in the motorhome sections and I support most of the forums in the owner's corner and I like to post press releases in the RV Industry News and Expert Forum. I hope to continue to post a log including pictures of my travels across the country and I hope you enjoy the content of the thread.
Like they say you're only as good as what you're going to do tomorrow so now that I have ten-thousand behind me, I'll look forward to the next 10,000. I am also very pleased that I was able to post this on the site of the 5th National Rally from the front seat of our motorhome.

Keep on going DriVer. Your strong arm along with good information has played an important part here in iRV2.com. Will we be seeing your 20k post before the year 2010?

Congratulations, Mike. It does not seem so long ago that we were trying to suggest a name change for you. It looks like the change, like your posting here was a good thing. Thank you for all your help and guidance. Looking forward to reading the next 10k post .

Yep, I remember some guy named "Fiver Driver" in the early days.....
I remember the 01 Rally in Myrtle Beach, Mom and Dad were able to make it when I wasn't.
Now I know why his fingers were so BIG when I met "Driver" in person for the first time. Here I thought it was just because of the air or something in the Tampa area where we were at the time.
His big fingers are from all the peckin away at the keyboard.
Congrats Mike!
Now what is needed is a "Parade" around Mill Bridge during the national. With "Driver" wearing a crown made up of a sewer hose (New and unused preferred) with some tent stakes taped to it (With duct tape) around the perimiter as a crown. Then a septor made with a awning rod that has one of those BIG gawdy awning lights taped to it. (Again with duct tape)
Don't yall think that is a fitting tribute to the "King of the keyboard"????

Mike;
Keep the posts coming. They all are interesting and informative. Your one DriVer that will be difficult to follow their tracks or "fill their shoes" as me dad would say.
