Ok- FWIW We have a stackable washer/dryer (Splendide) we do a lot of laundry, and clean the dryer filter after every use-while the filter was out for some reason I looked inside and under where it sits--OMG-->35 cents, paper clip and a lot of lint that the filter missed- bottom line is I think this is a fire hazard so CHECK underneath your filter.

I all so blow ours out with a leaf blower. It really cleans out the tubes.
