Dull Gel Coat

What is the best way to restore shine to weathered gel coat on my MH?

I used Meguiar's Fiberglass Restoration Kit available online or from a marine supply on my fiberglass roof with good success. It took a good bit of elbow grease, but it did a good job. They say you can use a power polisher, so if you have one, it could save you some work.

The kit has an oxidation remover to take away the old, oxidized surface; a polish to restore the shine; and a wax to provide protection.

You might also search Poli-glow. Worked great for me.

Go to a marine store and ask them. RVs have it easy compared to a boat sitting in salt water at a dock 24/7.

I fixed mine with new full body paint but it's a lot more expensive than the other ways suggested. Jim

The red max pro, or zep wet look finish, are similar products, and give you the least labor intensive way to do it. Initially you have to do a very good cleaning and prepping of surface. The actual application of the red max pro, or zep is very easy and very durable. Also, very inexpensive.
