When I'm at home, I Velcro a reflective sun screen to the door to cover the window.

This one isn't even good for that. It sits so far away from the driver, it's field of vision is about nothing. I've been thinking of attaching a convex mirror to it.

They have those big convex ones at Pepboys, and autozone. They fit right on the original mirror. Worked great when I had the Ford van, and kids were seated in the back couch. I could see who was poking who.

Now I just got one from harbor freight for $1-2, has a big suction cup, stuck it onto TV screen, remove when I watch TV.

Really helps when I'm driving, and need to direct someone which drawer or cabinet they need to get into.

I'm thinking that Velcro will weigh heavily on my solution as well. "Velcro...the RVer's friend."

The sticky-back Velcro does not hold up in the heat. I used Shoe Goo®, sometimes found at Walmart in a red and white tube. Takes about 24 hours to dry, but so far, it is better than the sticky stuff the Velcro comes with.

Door Window Cover

I made a Decorative fabric panel with upholstery fabric and put snaps on the corners .
The snap mate has a small screw that attaches it to the door .
You can unsnap it to remove it , WORKS GREAT !

A lot better than the rollup shade that was mounted on the door facing , because you could see right around that !

If you use fabric with a picture or scene on it , it looks nice when the door is fastened open .

Got pics?

I only use my Velcro'd reflective window cover when parked at home. At the dunes, I usually have my door facing north. Still going to look into moving it to the screen door or getting another type for the screen door.

Great idea !

I've seen that system used on the salon door of boats.

Not really. I like to look outside during the day and pull the shade down for privacy at night. Seems a pull down shade would be a lot easier than snapping a shade on when you don't want others to see inside.

The snap on would be good for between trips to keep the damaging sun out though.

That's why they make Chocolate and Vanilla. What works for some and is a great idea, doesn't work for others and therefore is not a great idea. I tend to take what I like and leave the rest.

It's a better idea than Velcro, but not for every day use.
